Mac OS 7.x Free PPP Dial-Up Instructions
1. Select FreePPP Setup from the FreePPP folder or the pull down menu and click the Accounts tab.
2. Click on Edit.
3. Enter TNS as the Server Name and select Directly from the Connect: option. Enter the values given to you by TNS for Phone Number, User name and Password. Remember, your username and password are case sensitive. Now click OK.
4. For additional dialing options (if needed), click on the Locations tab and Edit. Click OK when finished.
5. Click on the General tab, then Modem Setup and select Auto Detect. If FreePPP doesn't recognize your modem you can manually configure it by selecting and editing the Use option. See your modem manual for the correct initialization string. Click OK when finished.
6. From the General tab click Open TCP/IP. Select Free PPP under Connect via. Select Using PPP Server under Configure. Enter the TNS DNS server numbers (216.86.128.6 & 216.86.143.14). You can also enter tns.net under the search domains. Now close TCP/IP.
